Overview
MyLiftingCoach ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Collect
Local Data Only: MyLiftingCoach stores all your training data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal training data on external servers.
The app collects and stores the following information locally on your device:
- Profile information (name, age, weight, experience level)
- Training preferences and goals
- Workout history and performance data
- Personal records and lift maxes
- Program configurations
iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, your data will be stored in your personal iCloud account. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple according to their privacy policies. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous, aggregated analytics data to improve the app experience. This includes:
- App crashes and performance metrics
- Feature usage statistics (anonymized)
- Device type, iOS/Android version, and app version
- Screen views and user interactions (what features are used, not what data you enter)
- Anonymous device identifiers for analytics aggregation
Important: We do NOT collect your personal training data (weights lifted, exercises performed, etc.). Analytics only track which features you use, not the data you enter.
This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. The data is used solely to understand how users interact with the app and to improve features.
Opting Out: You can opt out of analytics collection by disabling "Share Analytics" in the app settings (available in a future update).
Subscriptions
Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple handles all payment processing according to their privacy policy.
Data Security
Your data is stored securely on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data. You can:
- Delete all app data by uninstalling the app
- Export your data from within the app
- Disable iCloud sync at any time
Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
